FNG – the German, Austrian and Swiss Sustainable Investment Forum

FNG – the German, Austrian and Swiss Sustainable Investment Forum, was founded in 2001 by a number of companies and organisations in Berlin. The Forum's remit covers all German speaking countries (Austria, Germany, and Switzerland). The members of the Forum include renowned investment firms, alternative banks, financial brokers and advisors, rating agencies, scientific institutions, as well as innovative enterprises that borrow money on the green capital market.

The main goal of the Forum is to expand and develop sustainable investment in the financial services industry, as well increasing the public's awareness on the topic. By supporting the notion of sustainability and achieving these goals, the Forum expects that the positive impact of these investments on society and the environment will be strengthened.

Das Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen wurde im Jahr 2001 von einer Anzahl von Unternehmen und Organisationen gegründet. Das Forum ist in allen deutschsprachigen Ländern (neben Deutschland also auch Luxemburg, Österreich und die Schweiz) aktiv. Zu den Mitgliedern des Forums zählen große Bankinstitute, Alternativbanken, Vermögensberatungen, Broker, Rating-Agenturen, wissenschaftliche Einrichtungen und innovative Unternehmen, die ihr Geld am grünen Kapitalmarkt aufnehmen.

Das Hauptziel der Forum besteht in der Förderung nachhaltiger Geldanlagen sowohl mit Blick auf die Angebotsseite als auch mit Blick auf die Nachfrage nach entsprechenden Finanzdienstleistungen. Gleichzeitig soll der positive Einfluss dieser Investitionen auf die Gesellschaft und die Umwelt gestärkt und die Verbreitung des Leitbildes der Nachhaltigkeit unterstützt werden.
