ABP Stichting Pensioen Fonds

ABP is the pension fund for employers and employees in service of the Dutch government and the educational sector. The 2,6 million participants in the fund have the assurance of income security against the following events: disability, death and pension. The scheme is based on solidarity and non-profit. ABP´s main office is in Heerlen. Besides, ABP has offices at WTC Schiphol Airport, New York and Hong Kong.

With an invested capital of over 210 billion euros, ABP is the third largest pension fund in the world. It is ABP´s objective to provide its participants with an adequate pension at all times at the lowest possible premiums. The investment strategy of ABP is targeted to the achievement of the highest possible real return on invested capital, while taking well-considered risks. The average return since 1994 has been 8,2%. ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria also play an important role in the investment processes, next to financial criteria.
