Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens

The Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens is the representative organisation for the accountancy profession in Europe. It is a non profit making international association which groups together 44 professional bodies from 32 countries.

FEE is active in the sustainability area since 1993. During 2006, FEE's sustainability activities were restructured in order to play a more active and prominent role in the sustainability arena. The new structure consists of:

• the Sustainability Working Party, chaired by Nancy Kamp-Roelands, undertaking projects in the sustainability area;
• the Sustainability Policy Group, chaired by Paul Druckman, dealing with political policy and strategic issues; and
• the Sustainability Advisory Panel.

The accountancy profession due to its expertise in reporting and assurance i.e. on quality of information has a significant contribution to make to developments in the sustainability area.
