Oikocredit

Oikocredit is an international development finance institution. Internationally, Oikocredit is one of the largest financiers of microfinance institutes with private capital. We provide microentrepreneurs, small businesses, groups of farmers, handicraft producers and other productive enterprises in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe with the capital they need to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Our financial resources come from investments by 35,000 members, made up of individuals, churches and other institutions. We are based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. At the end of 2009, we had:

- over 180 staff members worldwide;

- EUR 538 million total consolidated assets;

- EUR 394 million outstanding in loans and equity with 790 project partners in nearly 70 countries.
