Oikocredit

Oikocredit is an international development finance institution. Internationally, Oikocredit is one of the largest financiers of microfinance institutes with private capital. We provide micro-entrepreneurs, small businesses, groups of farmers, handicraft producers and other productive enterprises in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe with the capital they need to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Our financial resources come from investments by 30,000 members, made up of individuals, churches and institutions.
We are based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. At the end of 2008, we had:
- 11 regional offices and 25 country offices;
- 191 staff members worldwide;
- EUR 449 million total assets;
- EUR 365 million outstanding in loans and equity with 739 project partners in nearly 70 countries.
