Lobbying Activities

The present global financial crisis offers an historic opportunity to adopt policies encouraging longer-term thinking in financial markets. Given the current context, Eurosif has been asking, since its foundation in 2001, that European Institutions consider enhanced regulations that encourage all participants in the European capital markets to focus greater attention towards long-term performance. Within this agenda, Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) issues have an important role to play.

Eurosif has successfully published a series of public policy position papers recommending that European Institutions ensure greater transparency and accountability from large companies and institutional investors on ESG issues. For more information on the policy papers and responses submitted by Eurosif, please visit the Positions section.
