Sustainable Venture Capital project kick off
Eurosif kicked off its research on Sustainable Venture Capital in Europe by convening an Advisory Board meeting on May 24th in Paris. Members of the advisory board are all confirmed Sustainable VC practitioners. The goals of the research, to be published in the fall, are to size the market and outline the features of Sustainable VC in Europe. jeromet@eurosif.org
Second Eurosif - Le Monde article published
Le Monde newspaper, in partnership with Eurosif, and with the support of the European Commission, is continuing its ambitious new program to present a series of articles on Social, Environmental and Ethical (SEE) performance indicators of Multinational Companies. The second article, which appeared on May 9th, dealt with the level of equality between men and women in the workplace. Transparency Guidelines Meeting held
A Group of TG signatories and stakeholders met on April 27th in Zurich to discuss the status and future of the transparency guidelines . The group discussed how to encourage best practice, how to facilitate renewal of commitments among other things. The outcome will be shared with the Eurosif board as part of the elements shaping the future of the transparency guidelines.

New Austrian signatory to the Transparency Guidelines
Austrian " Bankhaus Schelhammer & Schattera Kapitalanlagegesellschaft m.b.H ." has just signed the Transparency Guidelines with the following funds: SUPERIOR 1 – Ethik Renten, SUPERIOR 3 – Ethik, and SUPERIOR 4 – Aktien.

SRI survey 2006 moving forward
Data collection has now been completed and Eurosif and national SIFs are now working at consolidating and analysing the data. Get ready for the study to be released this summer. For any questions please contact jeromet@eurosif.org .
Public Speaking events
Matt Christensen will be the keynote speaker on May 31 st, 2006 at a conference in Israel entitled “Sustainable Investing; Fleeting Fashion or Long Term Trend?”. This event is being sponsored by the Jerusalem Centre for Ethics and the Tel Aviv stock exchange. The audience will be a mix of 50 to 100 fund managers, financial analysts and financial executives as well as representatives from the Israel Securities Authority, Bank of Israel and Finance Ministry.
