FIR (Forum pour l'Investissement Responsable) - France
The French SIF held a successful event in June: FAIRE 2007 – the Annual Forum for European Responsible Investment (5th edition)
With over 230 attendees this year the French SIF is proud of the results of their 2 day event that took place on June 11th & 12th 2007 at the Pavillon Kléber – Potel & Chabot in Paris. It was four half days structured around four roundtables, each one being co-organised by a Broker and one or two Asset Managers.
FFS (Forum per la Finanza Sostenibile) - Italy
SRI & Religion
FFS organized an international seminar in Rome, hosted by CEI (Conference of Italian Bishops). The event focused on operative aspects of SRI for faith based organizations both in terms of asset management and real estate investments. The outcomes of the seminar will be published and disseminated in September 2007.
Pension Funds, transparency and SRI
FFS continues in its dissemination of the Transparency Guidelines for Italian Pension Funds: Davide Dal Maso has been invited as a speaker in one of the most popular international event (Terra Futura) on sustainable development that was held in Florence last May.
Venture Capital for Sustainability
Matt Christensen is presenting the Eurosif Report “Venture Capital for Sustainability - 2007” at the seminar organised by FFS that will be held at the Bocconi University, Milan, on June 21st. The event, organised in partnership with AIFI, the Italian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, will host comments from representatives of institutional investors.

UKSIF and UNEP-FI Launches First In-Depth Report on Responsible Investment Practices of Leading Public Pension Funds
The report “Responsible Investment in Focus: How leading public pension funds are meeting the challenge” aims to inspire more pension funds worldwide to deepen their responsible investment practices and, building on this international experience, develop their own strategies and approaches. It provides detailed examples of some of the most advanced and creative approaches currently being adopted and demonstrates how responsible investment has moved forward in recent years.

Call for 2007 Moskowitz Prize for SRI research entries: deadline 30 June 2007
The Forum is very pleased each year to announce the call for papers for the Moskowitz Prize competition on cutting-edge research in the field of socially and environmentally responsible investing.
