OECD Watch Factsheets
OECD Watch and Eurosif are working together on the EU-funded project “Promoting Convergence of CSR Practices and Tools among European Socially Responsible Investors (SRI) and National Contact Points for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises”.
The project aims to promote the use of the OECD Guidelines among responsible investors and extra-financial ranking and rating agencies. OECD Watch is developing a number of fact sheets on how the SRI community can use the OECD Guidelines and how specific chapters and paragraphs in the Guidelines (such as human rights and supply chain responsibility) can be interpreted in socially responsible screening.
Participating in promoting CSR tools in the SRI community is another way for Eurosif to fulfil its mission to address sustainability through financial markets. This dialogue is an opportunity for the OECD and the EU to better understand how SRI investors utilise the Guidelines, which may in turn, influence policy making. It is also an opportunity for our member affiliates to influence how the OECD Guidelines are used by the SRI community itself.
Through this project, Eurosif and OECD Watch hold dialogue sessions (March & October 2007), giving SRI investors and NGOs an opportunity to meet and discuss how the OECD Guidelines are being used by the SRI community, as well as provide input on possible improvement for the future.
