Transparency Guidelines for addressing ESG issues within Institutional Investment

These draft guidelines have been compiled by a group of members and affiliates of the UK Social Investment Forum (UKSIF) and Eurosif. The idea for producing these guidelines originated from UK-based Eurosif members, and the European Commission has provided funding for the duration of the development phase of the project.

At this stage, the output and process have allowed the development of a set of detailed questions that accurately describe some key institutional processes with regard to ESG issues. The outputs will be transferred into a Working Paper to be published in 2006. The Working Paper will serve as a basis for any future work undertaken in this area and be a reference for those institutional investors and consultants who would like to better understand the kinds of questions that asset managers should be asked related to ESG issues.
