Job description
MSCI ESG Research, part of MSCI Inc, is seeking to expand its Sales Team for EMEA. As MSCI ESG Research continues to grow, our clients span some of the world's largest hedge funds, pension funds and asset managers. As an MSCI ESG Research Sales specialist you are responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as new business development. Each Sales person travels within their respective sales territory to meet with clients regarding new products as well as enhancements to existing products.
This Sales position is aimed at expanding and increasing the usage of an industry-leading suite of products and services that support the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into investment decisions.
In addition to the management of senior level relationships, the role also demands a consummate relationship builder, both internally and externally, in order to drive sales and hit revenue targets. Key to this role is the creation and timely execution of pipeline which the sales specialist takes full ownership of. In this role, individuals will work very closely with global Client Service, Marketing, Legal, Product Management, and Finance / billing departments.
Responsabilities
- Growing current customer revenue
- Achieve revenue and renewal goals
- Identify and close sales prospects and up sales with existing clients
- Achievement of forecast revenue and profitability for segment
- Detailed revenue reporting and forecasting
- Attend relevant industry events
- Ability to share information across the sales group
- Communication of market developments to marketing and product team
- Support development of sales and support literature
- Work closely with function heads and marketing manager to develop product marketing plan
- Monitor customer satisfaction
- Good understanding of the ESG market and how ESG factors impact the investment process
- 3-5 years experience in a commercial/sales position in financial services or SRI industries
- Most recent experience managing sales effort against a quantitative objective
- Excellent track record in developing new business and growing established revenue streams
- Excellent presentational skills and inter-personal relationships
- Innovative, commercial, customer orientated thinker with strong sales drive
- A team builder and player with emotional maturity
- Absolute personal and business integrity
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus
- Proficiency in English required
- Knowledge of any other European language is a plus
