This is a unique opportunity for an experienced communications professional to create and lead the communications and marketing of one of the most vibrant and fast growing initiatives in the area of Responsible Business. You would be a member of the senior management team of the PRI Secretariat. Your role will be to develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy, driven by strong messaging and superior communication quality. You will lead the effort to drive the PRI’s message throughout the mainstream global investment community, communicate to investors in new markets and be one if the key public spokespeople for the initiative. The internal role focuses on working with the implementation support and signatory relations teams to communicate effectively to the PRI’s global signatories and ensure they are making the most if their participation in the PRI.

Requirements / qualifications

Strategic, executive team management role Leading the overall PRI communications and marketing strategy Based in London This position requires both world-class communication and marketing skills, with a particular emphasis on a high level of professional writing, editing, copywriting, messaging and proofreading skills. You will have demonstrated 10-15+ years of experience in communications, public relations and/or marketing, and will have had experience of building and managing teams. A philosophical commitment to responsible investment and the goals of the United Nations is essential.

Institution / Company description

The Principles for Responsible Investment is an investor initiative in partnership with UNEP Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact. Launched by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the PRI is a set of voluntary best practice principles which assist investors to integrate social and corporate governance (ESG) issues into investment processes and ownership practices. The PRI now has over 700 signatories representing US$20 trillion in assets, including many of the world’s leading pension funds, investment managers and service providers.
