Anne Risse

Anne Risse, in her function as Junior Policy and Communication Officer, supports the Eurosif team on policy, research, advocacy and communications.

Anne holds a master’s degree in communication from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She graduated with honours receiving the university’s Jan Loisen Academic Merit award. Her thesis on international climate communication was nominated for the Future Proef Award by the Flemish higher education system. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in general linguistics and law, focusing on EU public law, from the University of Tübingen in Germany.

Before joining the team in January 2024, Anne had previously supported Eurosif as an intern, before going on to gain further experience in advocating for sustainability in an internship at the Brussels-based forest organisation Fern. Anne also worked in the environmental department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, alongside her studies and assisted in Greenpeace Germany’s climate campaigns as an intern.
