Eurosif publishes regulatory roadmap for EU policymakers
Eurosif has published a regulatory roadmap with specific recommendations for EU policymakers that aim to scale-up investments accelerating sustainable growth and a just transition to a resilient and low-carbon economy.
The current economic and geopolitical context is that of intensifying global challenges, including a resurgence of national protectionism, polarisation, conflicts, and exacerbating climate crises. A just transition towards a sustainable and resilient economy is key for the EU to address these challenges, while also maintaining financial stability, reinvigorating economic growth and competitiveness, and guaranteeing strategic autonomy.
A significant amount of money must be raised from the private financial sector to achieve these goals. As such, investors and other financial institutions need a facilitating EU sustainable finance regulatory framework that is coherent, sufficiently ambitious, usable, well-implemented and complete.
