Sustainability Data Advisory Group (SDAG)
Key topics
- Challenges in sustainability data availability and reliability
- Investor priorities amid Omnibus I and CSRD changes
- Which ESRS datapoints are most decision-useful for investors
In response to the evolving challenges in EU sustainable finance, particularly those introduced by the Omnibus I proposal, Eurosif has launched a Sustainability Data Advisory Group. Led by the Eurosif team, this group aims to bring together sustainability experts from across Europe to ensure that the most important provisions for investors are maintained in ongoing policy reforms, and to identify which corporate sustainability data points are most essential for investors decision-making. The objective is to enhance data availability, quality, and usability at a time when the CSRD and ESRS frameworks are undergoing major revisions.
SDAG will support two key Eurosif workstreams in the short term: A position paper on the Omnibus I proposal, forming the basis of Eurosif’s advocacy toward policymakers; and a proposal for a simplified list of essential ESRS datapoints, to be shared with EFRAG by summer 2025.
The SDAG is open to nominated market practitioners of national SIFs and to Eurosif Club partners. It is coordinated by Alicia Woodall, Senior Policy Adviser, supported by Anne Risse, Policy and Communication Officer.
