Calum Thomson

Calum Thomson is Eurosif’s Communications Officer. A British national, Calum left the UK to study for his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Studies and International Relations at Leiden University in the Netherlands, before moving to Belgium in 2019.

Calum began his professional journey at the European Institute for Asian Studies, a think tank that aims to promote greater understanding and foster better relations between the European Union and Asia. Prior to joining Eurosif, Calum was a trainee and later a full-time employee at the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, an umbrella organisation of NGOs from the six Eastern Partnership countries and the EU working to promote European integration and facilitate democratic and progressive reform in the EaP region. During this time, Calum has contributed to several publications, conducted policy research and managed internal election procedures, statutory affairs, administration and event organisation, supporting communications activities in addition.

At Eurosif, Calum manages the organisation's communications outputs and platforms, supporting the team in other capacities as required.
